Fees

Price the listing after Etsy’s cut, not before.

Listing fees, transaction fees, and payment processing stack on every sale. This roughs out take-home on one item price so a “good” listing doesn’t feel thin after Etsy’s cut.

Defaults mirror a common US fee structure (listing \$0.20, ~6.5% transaction, ~3% + \$0.25 processing). Your seller dashboard wins if your category or country differs. Shipping and ads are not included.

How it's calculated

Example: a \$40 item with the defaults above loses the listing fee plus a cut of the price for transaction and processing. What’s left is not yet material cost — subtract your cost separately (or rebuild price with the markup calculator).

Offsite ads and Promoted Listings are extra. If you run them, treat that spend as another line after this estimate.

net = price − listing − txn% − (proc% + flat)
